Junk Drawer is a queer dance party in Denver. It’s also a lot more than that. The party was born out of a dire need in Denver for a more vibrant, radical and inclusive nightlife experience. Most Junk Drawer parties take place at the Triangle Bar in Downtown Denver but we will do pop-up parties at other locations throughout the year as well. For each party, we collaborate with a visual artist to create a bespoke dance floor installation. We seek out DJs from queer scenes in other cities who have a sound we want to bring to our QUEEN city of the plains. We aim to put Denver on the map of queer culture while simultaneously creating a safe and celebratory space for our BIPOC, trans and gender non-conforming friends and family. Junk Drawer began in the Summer of 2018 and is run by Jeff Page, Justin Najjar-Keith and Aleks Rodriguez.
